One day men, blinded by their presumption, tried to build a tower so high as to reach the sky and challenge God, but God punished them by confusing their tongues, and no longer understanding each other, they ended up fighting each other. .
The tower, which had just begun, was interrupted and demolished, became the symbol of the dissatisfaction and impotence of all humanity.
In the graphic transposition of the "Tower of Babel" I have indeed tried to represent the biblical story with a scaffolding of men in arms (from the Neanderthalian one with the rudimentary club, gradually up to the modern one with sophisticated weapons), all facing the lens of an imaginary flash, posed as in a souvenir photo, the photo of humanity making war.
Initially I had differentiated the various levels of the tower with relative architectural orders, but they made the graphic structure less comprehensible. Horses and animals were also eliminated from the final design because I wanted the scaffolding of the tower to consist only of warring men.
